Chris has over 25 years of industrial and academic experience in Manufacturing, Management Systems, New Product Introduction and Supply Chain Management. He has held various operational and senior leadership roles in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Product Development, Engineering and Supply Chain. Chris was Director of Manufacturing (EAME) for Caterpillar Inc. and led the transformation of the order to delivery space for a number of years before becoming CEO of SMMT Industry Forum.
Chris was also the Chairman of the UK Automotive Council Supply Chain Competitiveness Group and has worked closely with HM Government Departments and
Treasury for the last eight years in the design, development and implementation of multiple national competitiveness improvement programmes.
Chris's key areas of interest are competitive business strategy, business operating models, performance metrics and driving cultural change for strategy execution. He holds a Masters Degree from the University of Cambridge in Manufacturing Business
